Hi, I am Monica Z

I am a mom of boys.

I am a wife.

I am devout Catholic.

I am a Wedding and Portrait Photographer.

I love plants and birds and the beach and coffee and lifting weights and sci-fi shows and camping and being in nature.

I began my journey with photography in high school. I graduated from Michigan City High School in 1999. Photography class was my jam, but it took me a few more years to get my business started. I went to Purdue for a few years, studied photography a bit, but did not finish with a degree.

My husband, Chris, and I were married in 2006.  I started my business in 2007.

Our oldest was born in 2011. Before then I shot almost only weddings and engagement sessions. Henry changed EVERYTHING! I was drawn to do more portrait work. In late 2012 I signed the lease for my studio space. A year later I brought in a few other talented photographers to share the space. 

Here we are now. I love to shoot weddings, families, high school seniors, professional headshots, maternity, newborns and babies first year. In the studio or out in nature.
